explain
The TPS715-Q1 Low Voltage Drop (LDO) linear regulator is a low static current device that offers the advantages of using micro packaging, having a wide input voltage range, and achieving low-power operation. Therefore, TPS715-Q1 is designed specifically for battery powered applications and can be used as a power management accessory for low-power microcontrollers.
TPS715-Q1 is available in two versions: fixed voltage and adjustable voltage. In order to achieve greater flexibility or higher output voltage, the adjustable voltage version uses a feedback resistor to set the output voltage to 1.2V to 15V. TPS715-Q1 LDO supports a typical low voltage drop of 415mV at a load current of 50mA. The low static current (typical value is 3.2 µ A) is stable throughout the entire output load current range (0mA to 50mA). TPS715-Q1 also has an internal soft start function to reduce surge current. The built-in overcurrent limit helps to protect the voltage regulator in the event of load short circuits or faults.
TPS715-Q1 adopts 2.00mm × 1.25mm, 5-pin SC-70 (DCK) package (for fixed and adjustable outputs).
