SiI 164 transmitter using PanelLink ® Digital technology to support displays with resolutions ranging from VGA to UXGA (25-165Mpps) in a single link interface.

The SiI 164 transmitter has a highly flexible interface with a 12 bit mode (per clock edge ½ Pixel) or 24 bit mode, with 1 pixel input per clock edge to support true colors (16.7 million). In 24 bit mode, SiI 164 supports single or double sided clocks. In 12 bit mode, SiI164 supports dual sided single clock or single sided dual clock. SiI 164 can be programmed through the I2C interface. In addition, SiI 164 also supports receiver and hot plug detection.

PanelLink digital technology simplifies PC design by addressing many system level issues related to high-speed mixed signal design, providing system designers with a faster and lower cost digital interface solution to the market.
