LTC ® 1854/LTC1855/LTC1856 is an 8-channel, low-power, 12/14/16 bit, 100ksps, analog-to-digital converter (ADC). These ADCs operate from a single 5V power supply, and 8-channel multiplexers can be programmed as single ended inputs, differential inputs, or a combination of both. In addition, all channels have fault protection of ± 30V. Fault conditions on any channel will not affect the conversion results of the selected channel.
Airborne precision reference can minimize external components. In two shutdown modes (27.5 mW in Nap mode and 40 µ W in sleep mode), the power consumption is 40 mW at 100 ksps. DC specifications include ± 3LSB INL for LTC1856, ± 1.5LSB INL for LTC1855, and ± 1LSB for LTC1854.
The internal clock is clipped to a maximum conversion time of 5 µ s and ensures a sampling rate of 100ksps. A separate conversion start input and data preparation signal (BUSY) facilitates connection to FIFOs, DSP, and microprocessors.
