UCC3895 is a phase shift PWM controller that achieves control of the full bridge power stage by switching one half bridge relative to the other half bridge through phase shift. This device supports constant frequency pulse width modulation and resonant zero voltage switching, providing high efficiency at high frequencies. This device can be used as both a voltage mode controller and a current mode controller.
UCC3895 not only retains the functions of the UC3875/6/7/8 series and UC3879, but also improves the controller series to have additional functions such as enhanced control logic, adaptive delay setting, and shutdown function. Due to the use of BCDMOS technology for manufacturing this device, its operating current is much smaller compared to similar bipolar devices. The maximum clock frequency of UCC3895 is 1MHz.
