What is tempered glass
Tempered glass also named toughened, hardened glass, ESG glass etc, it is made by heating flat glass to just below its softening temperature and suddenly chilling it with jets of cold air. It results in the outer skins under powerful compressive stress and the interior with severe tensile stress. In consequence, the impact applied to the glass will be overcome by the compressional stress on the surfaces to assure safety of use.

Functions of tempered glass
Stronger: 4-5 time stronger than annealed glass in same thickness. Vrey popular used for building, such as window, door, raing, parttiion wall etc.

Safety: If the glass broken, the small pieces without sharp edges and crumble leaving no shards or splinters which facilitate for easier clean up.
Heat Resistant: the unique process that tempered glass goes through in production allows it to withstand even high temperatures.
