Heat strengthened glass

 Heat strengthened glass is also called semi tempered glass. 

Tempering glass is heating glass to around 700 temperature degree and then cool down rapidly by a strong wind jet. causing the sufface in strong compression whereas the inner side still in tension. Tempered glass is about 5 times more strength than normal anneal glass.

With heat strengthened glass, the cooling process is slower, which means the compression strength is lower. In the end, heat strengthened glass is approximately twice as strong as annealed glass.
