German technical background VOK ®- FX 365 Wetting Dispersant
The non-ionic wetting and dispersing agent used in waterborne systems has excellent pigment wetting and stability
nature
Appearance: transparent liquid (20 ℃)
Effective ingredients: about 90%
Solubility: soluble in water and general organic solvents
Viscosity: about 850 mpa. s (20 ℃)
Specific gravity: about 1.110 (20 ℃)
Ionic characteristics: non-ionic
application area
Color paste, water-based paint, water-based ink
Characteristics and purpose
VOK ®- FX 365 is a non-ionic AB block polymer with hydrophilic polyether segments and multi electron hydrophobic components. This unique amphiphilic component has strong affinity for various interfaces. It can strongly adsorb on the surface of pigments and fillers, thus showing superior pigment wetting and dispersion
Due to VOK ®- FX 365 is non-ionic, so it can be used with anionic, non-ionic or cationic surfactants
It can be used in almost all types of water-based paint or color paste
Since it does not ionize in water, it can be used with ionic polymer dispersants, such as VOK ®- FX 504 or VOK ®- FX 600 is used together in the aqueous dispersion of hydrophilic pigments. For hydrophobic pigments, including inert organic pigments, it can also be used separately as a dispersant and stabilizer
Amount added and method of use
VOK ®- The addition amount of FX 365 used in coatings is 0.2-1.0% of the total formula amount
The additive amount used in pigment paste system is 2-10% of the total formula amount
Because the composition of coatings varies greatly, VOK ®- The exact amount of FX 365 should be determined by experiment depending on the specific formula
Add before pigment dispersion
Storage
Keep away from heat and fire. Keep in a cool and ventilated place and keep the container tight
The storage environment temperature is above 4 ℃ (40 ℉). In case of freezing, the temperature can be properly raised to recover
