The additive slightly reduces the surface tension of the coating system. VOK®-SL 322 is a foam-unstable silicone leveling additive with defoaming in many systems. Thermal stability up to 250°C without compromising interlayer adhesion.

Recommended Use 

The additive is particularly recommended for a wide range of solventborne coatings. 

Recommended dosage 

0.01-0.4% Additive dosage (purchased form) is based on total formulation. 

The above recommended dosage is for reference, and the appropriate dosage needs to be determined through a series of tests. 

Addition method and processing guidance 

The additive can be added at any stage of the production process, including post-adding. 

Special considerations 

Compared to silicone fluids, this additive is easier to use. However, before use, a series of experiments should be carried out to confirm whether the additive will stabilize the foam in certain systems. In addition, recoating and craters need to be examined.
