Jale Musk is a colorless to slightly yellow viscous transparent liquid with a musky aroma. It is a synthetic material used in aromatics and has a clean, sweet, floral, woody musk scent. It is one of the ingredients used by perfume and cologne manufacturers to add a musky smell to their products. Galomusk was first synthesized in 1965 and was used in some fabric softeners and cleaners in the late 1960s. High concentrations of Galomusk are also commonly used in fine perfumes.

Product application
Widely used in a variety of musk-type spices, often benzyl benzoate, diethyl phthalate, isopropyl tetradecate or dipropylene glycol with about 50% of the solution used Galol Musk has gradually become a key synthetic musk raw material in the polycyclic musk class of molecules defined by the International Fragrance Association. Its smell has been described as "clean", sweet, floral, and woody musky. Two molecular configurations, (4S,7R) and (4S, 7S), were shown to be the most potent flavor sources in Garel Musk, with an odor threshold of 1 nanog/L or less.
