Product application

1. Used as gas chromatography fixing liquid, solvent, antifreeze agent, plasticizer and dehydrating agent

2. Used as resin, plasticizer, surfactant, emulsifier and demulsifier raw materials, can also be used as antifreeze and heat carrier

3. Propylene glycol is an intermediate of the fungicide phenacetoconazole.

As a solvent, food additives such as preservatives, pigments, antioxidants that are difficult to dissolve in water can be dissolved in it, and then added to food; It has strong hygroscopic properties and has moisturizing and antifreezing effects on food. China stipulates that it can be used for pastries, and the maximum usage is 3.0g/kg.

Propylene glycol is also used as a tobacco humidifier, anti-mold agent, food processing equipment lubricating oil and food marking ink solvent. The aqueous solution of propylene glycol is an effective antifreeze agent.
