4.1 Overview and Usage
Temperature regulation speed regulation asphalt elongation measuring instrument has absorbed the advantages of the latest contemporary international design of the third generation of external lead screw, double track positioning transmission extension instrument, its outstanding advantages are that the drag plate transmission is extremely smooth, no vibration, high wire accuracy, convenient observation. This instrument is suitable for measuring the elongation of various types of asphalt and liquid asphalt residue after distillation and asphalt emulsion evaporation residue. It can automatically measure and control the temperature and speed regulating device of dead pole. It can carry out three mould test at the same time. Can achieve a variety of tensile speed selection, widely used in production, road construction and scientific research departments, more suitable for DGB benign asphalt test.
4.2 Structure Description
The extender is an imitation of the overall structure of the floor, beautiful appearance, inside the lead screw composed of double rail stretching mechanism, has the advantages of uniform stretching, stability, no noise, by the four universal wheel landing support.
4.2.1 This machine adopts stainless steel bath, which is equipped with heating tube and refrigeration evaporator under the tank, and limit switch at both ends, which can automatically stop the machine after stretching.
4.2.2 Install power supply and electrical control instruments on the right side.

5. Operation Instructions:
5.1 Preparations
5.1.1 Evenly mix the spacer and apply it to the clean and dry test plate and the inside surface of the two side molds, and install the test mold on the test plate.
5.1.2 Prepare the sample according to the method stipulated in T0602 of this procedure, and then carefully from one end of the test mold to the other end of the sample several times slowly into the mold, finally slightly higher than the test mold. No air bubbles should be mixed into the mold.
5.1.3 The specimen shall be cooled at room temperature for no less than 1.5h, and then the bitumen higher than the test mold shall be scraped with a hot scraper to make the bitumen surface flush with the test mold surface. The scraping method of asphalt should be from the middle of the test die to the two ends, and the surface should be smooth. Put the test mould together with the bottom plate into the water tank at the specified test temperature for 1.5h.
5.1.4 Add an appropriate amount of clean water into the sink of the extensibility meter. Please refer to the test requirements for the amount of water added (the water surface should be no less than 25mm from the surface of the specimen).
5.1.5 Turn on the power switch knob and set the required test temperature.
5.1.6 Then turn on the cooling switches; Heating switch; Stirring switch, the equipment enters the stage of regulating water temperature.
5.1.6 Observe the water temperature in the extension tank until it reaches the required test temperature and is in a constant state to start the test.
5.2 Test Procedure
5.2.1 Move the insulated specimen together with the bottom plate into the sink of the extender, and then remove the test mold containing the sample from the glass plate or stainless steel plate. Put the holes at both ends of the test mold on the metal column of the sliding plate and the fixed plate at the groove end respectively, and remove the side mold. The water surface should be no less than 25mm away from the specimen surface.
5.2.2 Start the tensile switch of the extensibility meter, and pay attention to the extension of the sample. At this time, it should be noted that in the process of the test, the water temperature should always be maintained within the specified range of the test temperature, and the instrument shall not have vibration, the water surface shall not have shaking, when the tank uses circulating water, should temporarily interrupt the circulation, stop the flow of water. In the test, when it is found that the asphalt filaments float on the water surface or sink into the bottom of the tank, alcohol or salt should be added to the water, adjust the density of the water to be similar to the sample, then test again.
5.2.3 The equipment can test three specimens at a time. Test personnel should pay attention to observe the asphalt state after the tensile test. Whenever a specimen is broken, press the value button in front of the tester, so that the duration value can be collected and stored by the microcontroller program. After all three specimens are pulled off (that is, press the value button three times), the tester will stop working automatically.
Remarks: The specimen should be cone-pointed when extended, and the actual section is close to zero when pulled off. If such results are not available, they should be indicated in the report.
5.2.4 Press the Calculate button on the control panel to query the test results.
5.2.5 After recording the queried experimental data, the power switch of each part should be turned off first, and the total power supply should be cut off at last.
