Description of tps54531

Tps54531 device is a 28V, 5A asynchronous step-down converter, which integrates a high side MOSFET with low RDS (on). The device will automatically activate the pulse jump eco mode function to improve efficiency under light load. In addition, 1 μ A makes the device suitable for battery powered applications. Current mode control with internal slope compensation simplifies external compensation calculations and reduces the number of components while allowing the use of ceramic output capacitors. A resistance voltage divider sets the delay time of input undervoltage lockout. The overvoltage transient protection circuit limits voltage overshoot during startup and transients. Cycle by cycle current limiting mechanism, frequency turn back and thermal shutdown characteristics can protect devices and loads under overload conditions.
