234440 bearings consist of shaft washer, a housing washer and a ball and cage thrust assembly. They are separable which means that mounting is simple. They can accommodate axial loads in one direction only and must not be subjected to any radial load.

234440 bearings are classified into those with flat seats or aligning seats depending on the shape of the outer ring seat (housing washer). They can sustain axial loads but no radial loads. Lubrication of 234440 bearings

234440 bearings can be lubricated with oil or grease. Higher speeds can be achieved with oil lubrication. In order to allow oil to flow between the two rows of balls, the housing locating washer has a lubrication groove and lubrication holes.

At high speeds, overlubrication of the radial bearing can be prevented if the installation space is separated between the axial angular contact ball bearing and the cylindrical roller bearing.
