CMI/MI  is the blend of 5-Chloro-2-Methyl-4-Isothiazolin-3-one (CMI) and 2-Methyl-4-Isothiazolin-3-one (MI), generally referred to as Isothiazolinones, it can be mixed with water by any proportion, stable chemical properties. It belongs to the general goods. CMI/MI  is the ideal non-oxidative biocide in circulating cool water system and oilfield reinjection water system. CMI/MI  has strong inhibition and biocidal effects on ordinary bacteria, fungi and alga.

Character and Advantage

1)      CMI/MI  has advantages of low toxicity, no toxicity accumulation, soluble in water, unaffected by water hardness. It has good stable chemical properties, it is hard to be hydrolyzed and photolysed; It has good sludge stripping and a certain penetrating properties.

2)      The bactericidal effect of CMI/MI  is carried out through breaking the bond between bacteria and algae protein. When contacted with microbes, it can irreversible quickly inhibit their growth, thus leading to death of these microbial cells. CMI/MI  has many advantages such as high biocidal efficiency, good degradation, no residual, safety in operation, good compatibleness, good stabilization, low cost in operation. CMI/MI  can mix with chlorine and most cation, anion, and non-ionic surfactants. When used at high dosage, its biosludge stripping effect is excellent.

Applications 

1)      Oilfield reinjection water system: as biocide.

2)      Circulating cool water system: as biocide.

3)      Papermaking: as mould inhibitor.

Package and Storage Recommendation

1)      Normally in 200L drum or IBC (1000L) can be used as required.

2)      Storage for 24 months in room shady and dry place.
