Description

EDTMPS-5NA  (similar to Dequest 2046) is a kind of organic methylenephosphonic sodium salt, an good scale and corrosion inhibitor, it can be mixed with water by any proportion, stable chemical properties. It belongs to general goods. It has good complexation for bivalent metal ions; EDTMPS-5NA  shows good scale & corrosion inhibition performance and shows the ideal synergistic effect. EDTMPS-5NA  can inhibit the scale formation of calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate and strontium sulfate.

Character and Advantage

EDTMPS-5NA  can chelate with Fe, Cu, and Zn ions to form stable chelating compounds. It can dissolve the oxidized materials on these metals’ surfaces. It is hard to be hydrolyzed, and hard to be decomposed under ordinary light and heat conditions. EDTMPS-5NA  can react with metal ions in water system to form chelating complex, it does not reflect metal properties. Therefore, EDTMPS-5NA  can inhibit scale formation, calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate and strontium sulfate in particular, and it has good antiscale and visible threshold effects.

Applications 

1)      Oilfield reinjection water system: as scale and corrosion inhibitor.

2)      Papermaking: as chelating agent.

3)      Circulating cool water system: as scale and corrosion inhibitor.

4)      Woven & dyeing industries: as chelating agent & oxygen bleaching stabilizer.

Package and Storage Recommendation

1)      Normally in 200L drum or IBC (1000L) can be used as required.
