Bronopol  is composition of 2-Bromo-2-nitro-1,3-propanediol, it can be mixed with water by any proportion, stable chemical properties. It belongs to the general goods. Bronopol  is the ideal non-oxidative biocide in circulating cool water system and oilfield reinjection water system. Bronopol  has strong inhibition and biocidal effects on ordinary bacteria, fungi and alga.

Character and Advantage

1)      Bronopol has advantages of low toxicity, no toxicity accumulation, soluble in water, unaffected by water hardness. It has good stable chemical properties, it is hard to be hydrolyzed and photolysed; It has good sludge stripping and a certain penetrating properties.

2)      Bronopol  is the compound that contain organic bromine. The bactericidal effect of Bronopol is carried out through breaking the cytoderm of bacteria and algae. When contacted with microbes, it can irreversible quickly inhibit their growth, thus leading to death of these microbial cells. Pollution-free against environment and wide application in many fields.
