The 3500/45 position monitor is a 4-channel instrument that accepts input sensors (RPTs) from proximity sensors, rotating positions, DC linear variable differential transformers (LVDTs), AC linear variable differential transformers (ACLVDTs), and rotating potentiometers.

This monitors the input conditions and compares them with signals with user programmable alarms. Determine which I/O modules are required based on the measurement type and sensor input. See sensor types for position measurement on page 11, see chart on page 14, and potentiometers on page 16 for AC LVDT and rotary input/output modules. You can use a 3500 rack to program and configure software for each channel
