Pom-c /H (black, white) : respectively represents POM copolymer and POM homopolymer, POM copolymer has low melting point, thermal stability, chemical resistance, flow characteristics, hydrolysis resistance, alkali resistance and thermal oxidation degradation, processability is better than homopolymer.
POM homopolymers have high crystallinity, creep, lower thermal expansion rate, wear resistance, mechanical strength, rigidity, thermal deformation temperature and so on. (At present, POM semi-finished products on the market generally use POM-C copolymerization)
Pom-h +PTFE (dark brown POM-H+TF is extrudated from dupont POM (DELRIN) raw material plus PTFE (Teflon) fiber. It retains most of the intrinsic strength of POM-H. Due to the addition of PTFE (Teflon) fiber and some performance changes, slightly softer, less rigid, more slippery than pure polyformaldehyde resin. Compared with pure POM plate, this material has better lubricating properties. Bearings made of POM-H+PTFE have low friction coefficient, wear resistance, and basically no peristalsis.
(1) POM is a crystalline plastic with a density of 1.42g/cm3. It has good rigidity and is commonly known as "match steel".
(2) It has excellent properties such as fatigue resistance, creep resistance, wear resistance, heat resistance, impact resistance, and small friction coefficient and good self-lubricity.
(3) POM is not easy to absorb moisture, water absorption rate is 0.22 ~ 0.25%, good dimensional stability in humid environment, its shrinkage rate is 2.1%(larger), the size of injection molding is difficult to control, thermal deformation temperature is 172℃, polyoxyformaldehyde has two kinds of polyoxyformaldehyde and copolyoxyformaldehyde, different performance (polyoxyformaldehyde temperature resistance is better).
Application of POM:
It can replace most non-ferrous metals, automobiles, machine tools, instrument internal parts, bearings, fasteners, gears, spring pieces, pipes, transport belt accessories, electric water cooker, pump shell, drain, faucet, etc.
Process features:
(1) POM can not be dried before processing, it is best to preheat (about 800℃) in the processing process, which is good for the stability of product size.
(2) POM processing temperature is very narrow (0 ~ 215℃), the residence time in the barrel is slightly longer or the temperature exceeds 220℃ will be decomposed, producing strong irritating formaldehyde gas.
(3) When POM material is injected, the holding pressure should be large (similar to the injection pressure) to reduce the pressure drop. Screw speed can not be too high, less residual;
(4) POM product shrinkage rate is large, easy to shrink or deformation. POM has a large specific heat, high mold temperature (800 ~ 100℃), and the product is very hot when demoulding, so it is necessary to prevent finger burns.
(5) POM should be formed and processed under the condition of "medium pressure, medium speed, low material temperature and high mold temperature", and precision products need to control mold temperature when forming

(8) Good environmental resistance and organic solvent resistance
(9) Strong resistance to repeated impact, good electrical properties, good recovery, with its own lubricity, good wear resistance, excellent dimensional stability.
