Product Introduction
This instrument is a fully automatic laboratory instrument, suitable for lubricity testing of diesel (middle distillate) fuel. It fully complies with the requirements of ASTM D-6078 "Standard Test Method for Evaluating the Lubricity of Diesel Fuel by Wear Loaded Ball Cylinder Lubricity Evaluator". The instrument uses a submerged ball-to-cylinder contact geometry. Since the onset of wear is characterized by a sudden increase in friction between the two contact bodies, the load sensor is incorporated into the load arm assembly. This can measure the tangential friction between the rotating disk and the stationary ball.
