Tips for trouble shooting of fuel Injectors (same for 8.3 Cummins injectors):
1Llittle or no oil injection:
(1) There is air in the oil circuit of the fuel system to remove the air in the high-pressure or low-pressure oil pipe
(2) Grinding or replacement of nozzle parts
(3) The fuel supply of the fuel injection pump is not normal. Find out the causes according to the troubleshooting method of the fuel injection pump
(4) If the high-pressure oil pipe leaks oil, tighten the nut and replace if there is any crack in the oil pipe
(5) Wear replacement or repair of fuel injection nozzle parts
2 Low injection pressure:
(1) The pressure regulating screw is loose and readjusted to the specified pressure as required, and the lock nut is tightened
(2) Deformation adjustment or replacement of pressure regulating spring
(3) Needle valve stuck cleaning or grinding
(4) Wear repair or replacement of spring seat, ejector pin and other parts
3 Too high injection pressure:
(1) Readjust the high spring force of the pressure regulating spring to the specified pressure and tighten the lock nut.
(2) Stick, clean or grind the needle valve.
(3) Clean the nozzle or replace the nozzle (nozzle) if the nozzle is blocked.
4 Fuel injector leakage:
(1) The pressure regulating spring is broken and replaced with a new one
(2) Replacement of damaged needle valve body seating surface
(3) Cleaning, grinding or replacement of needle valve
(4) Change of tightening cap
(5) Flat wear repair or replacement of injector body
5 Poor spray atomization:
(1) If the injection pressure is low, adjust it to the specified pressure.
(2) The seat surface of fuel injection nozzle is damaged or burnt, and it shall be repaired or replaced.
(3) If there is garbage on the fitting surface of the nozzle, clean it in time.
6 Injection line:
(1) Steel wire with diameter of 0.2-0.3mm shall be used to dredge the orifice for orifice plugging.
(2) Replace the needle valve body with a new one due to excessive wear of the needle valve body seating surface.
(3) The needle valve is locked, cleaned, grinded or replaced.
7. Check the cooling system if the surface of needle valve is burnt or blue black (diesel engine overheating), and pay attention to replace the coupling. Do not overload the diesel engine for a long time.
