855 Cummins Injectors

The cylinder block of Cummins NTA855 diesel engine is made of gray cast iron. Its structure is of integral gantry type, that is, the cylinder block is connected with the upper crankcase. All parts of the diesel engine are installed outside and inside. The piston of Cummins NTA855 diesel engine is made of eutectic silicon aluminum alloy with good heat resistance and wear resistance. It has the advantages of high fatigue strength and good thermal conductivity.

Maintenance of 855 Cummins injectors

Check and adjust the 855 Cummins injector once when it works for about 700h. If the opening pressure is more than 1MPa lower than the specified value or the carbon deposit at the head of the needle valve is serious, the needle valve shall be unloaded and put into the clean diesel oil, the carbon deposit shall be scraped off with wood chips, the injection hole shall be dredged with fine steel wire, and the commissioning shall be carried out after installation. The injection pressure difference of each cylinder of the same machine must be less than 1MPa.

In order to make the diesel injected into the cylinder by the 855 Cummins injectors burn completely in time, the oil supply time of the oil pump must be checked regularly. If the fuel supply time is too early, the vehicle will have difficulties in starting and knocking; if the fuel supply time is too late, the exhaust will emit black smoke, the engine temperature will be too high, and the fuel consumption will rise.

The fitting accuracy of the 855 Cummins injectors needle valve is very high, and the orifice diameter is very small, so it is necessary to select the specified brand of clean diesel strictly according to the seasonal change, otherwise the 855 Cummins injectors will not work normally.

Do not collide with other hard objects or drop them to the ground when cleaning the needle valve parts of the 855 Cummins injectors to avoid bruise. When replacing the 855 Cummins injectors needle valve coupling, first immerse the new coupling in 80 ℃ hot diesel oil for about 10 s, allow the rust proof oil to fully dissolve, then pump the needle valve back and forth in the valve body in clean diesel oil, and thoroughly clean it, so as to avoid the failure of sticking the needle valve due to the rust proof oil melting during the operation of the 855 Cummins injectors.
