Introduction
The HM100 Knife Grinder is an instrument specially designed for pulverization and homogenization. It can pulverize the sample to analytical fineness in a few seconds, and the pulverization result is highly homogenized to meet laboratory operation and analysis. The HM100 has a two-blade cutter head placed at the center of the bottom of the grinding cup. The cutter heads maintain a certain height between the cutter heads and start to rotate under the motor drive of 900 watts. Reliable comminution and homogenization results through the cutting action of a sharp steel edge. Depending on the direction of rotation, a blunt surface can be selected for coarse comminution of large samples, or a tough surface for fine comminution of samples. The motor speed is electronically controlled and preselectable. The constant speed ensures efficient and high quality pulverization and homogenization. It takes only 10 to 30 seconds to comminute the more difficult-to-treat sample to obtain an analytical grade homogenized sample.
