Operating principles of Jingtai® JT-K6 new halogen rapid moisture meter:
Traditional moisture determination commonly uses the oven-drying method. The measurement only for one sample needs two or three hours, even three or four hours. In addition, moisture content can be calculated after weighing and manual computation. Moisture determination of the oven-drying method is inefficient, so it can far not meet the fast-paced production needs in enterprises nowadays.
JT-K rapid moisture meter is a highly efficient moisture meter developed recently by Taizhou Jingtai Instrument Meter Co., Ltd. It adopts drying & heating apparatus of high efficiency——high-quality cyclic annular halogen lamp which can heat the samples quickly and evenly. Thus, moisture of the samples can be dried constantly. During the whole Mensuration, the automatic real-time display of measuring results is realized: sample weight, water content, solid content, measure time, heating temperature, etc.
JT-K rapid moisture meter uses international oven-drying method principle. Therefore, its measure results are correlated well with the oven-drying method. 1. Halogen moisture meter is used to measure the water content of samples. If it is used for any other purposes, it may cause personal injury and instrument damage.
2. Please be sure to read the specification carefully before using. Please do not use it under the environmental conditions not meeting safety requirements.
3. Halogen rapid moisture meter can only be used by those who are familiar with sample properties or specialized persons after training.
4. Power supply of halogen rapid moisture meter is triplex grounded socket. It is not allowed to disconnect the ground lead or use the power supply without good ground.
5. Make sure there is enough space around it, thus to avoid heat accumulation and overheating.
6. Since the neighboring regions of heating units around the meter will be hot, please do not place combustible material around it.
7. After measuring, one should be careful when taking the samples away, for that samples, heating units and the containers are still very hot.
8. During the heating and drying process, the temperature of annular heating elements will reach 400℃. Therefore, please do not open or touch the heating units. If needed, to open the heating units and disconnect the power supply until they are cooled completely.
9. As for combustible or flammable objects, as well as the matrix containing solvent or the matrix that generate combustible or flammable gas after heating, please take particular care. It is because that these samples may cause harm to the human body or the meter. Therefore, when measuring these samples, please keep the heating temperature of operation low enough, to prevent forming flame or explosive. In addition, please put on the safety device, such as goggle. If the flammability of samples is not really known about, please use sample amount as little as possible. In that case, the meter should be under supervision. Just in case, please do venture analysis before the experiment.
10. As for the matrix with toxic elements, they can only be heated and dried under the well-ventilated conditions.
11. While heating and drying, some matrix generates caustic steam. When measuring samples like this, it is suggested to reduce sample gram, because steam will congeal on relatively cold surface area, thus to produce corrosion.
