Caustic soda (Sodium hydroxide). Strong base, very soluble in water, alcohol, glycerin and absorbs carbon dioxide and moisture from the air. The main use of Sodium hydroxide is as a chemical and in the manufacturing of other chemicals. It is used also in textile industry as well as in making paper and cellulose
