Function
The ROS-2D-FM is designed to signal that a conveyor belt is misaligned. It produces an alarm signal if the belt tips the roller arm 10 degrees from normal and a second signal, usually to shut down equipment before damage, at 20 degrees.
Location
The roller of the ROS-2D-FM is usually mounted on both sides 1 inch from the moving belt with the roller centered to the edge of the belt. Distance from the head and tail pulleys is recommended from at 1-6 feet. Short belts may only need (2) ROS-2D-FM and some longer belts add ROS-2D-FM at 600 foot intervals for additional protection.
Specifications
· Microswitch Rating: 15A @ 115~230VAC,30VDC non-inductive
· Outputs: (2) SPDT (one alarm, one shutdown)
· Actuation Angle: 10 degrees and 20 degrees from normal
· Enclosure: NEMA 4 · Conduit Holes: (2) ¾”-14 NPT
· Temperature Rating: -45 to 176 F (-42 to 80 ℃), these ratings are based on physical tests, not on the actual switch rating, the positive closure of the alarm contact forces the alarm current signal to the alarm condition at the coldest of temperatures, alarm reset is hampered at temperatures below -40
