Blast furnace, as traditional Lead smelting furnace, can be applied to process materials with high moisture content (8% max) and well-adaptable to different feed materials such as oxide ore, carbonate ore, and so on. The raw material feed in will be pre-heated by waste heat with high heat efficiency. Yet since the smoke can’t be discharged orderly, it cause environmental problems. Thus we make the following improvements on the traditional blast furnace.
Nowadays, the furnace has become the best choice for the medium and small scale raw ore smelters and large scale spent Lead-acid battery recycling plants.

We suggest blast furnace for fire-refining due to its
a) High heat efficiency: furnace burden heated by the waste heat of the off-gas.
b) High recovery rate: The molten lead and slag will be separated completely in blast furnace hearth, because the blast furnace hearth has higher temperature an d more obvious slag line than rotary furnace to sedimentate the lead metal from slag. recovery rate can reach ≥98, with ≤2% Pb content in slag
c) Large capacity in the same operation area: 35 t/(m2·d).
d) Low energy consumption: No other fuel required except coal.
