Founded in July 2014, Gansu Alkog Sea-buckthorn Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. lies in Zhang County Industrial Park covering an area of 13500 m2. Now it has more than 100 employees and more than 20 million yuan of fixed assets. It has advanced CO2 above-critical sea-buckthorn oil extraction plant and perfect quality control and inspection means, and is a high tech enterprise incorporating production and sales. It mainly produces sea-buckthorn materials, sea-buckthorn oil, sea-buckthorn health products, sea-buckthorn foods, sea-buckthorn personal care products, and sea-buckthorn cosmetics. The products have won the consistent praises by domestic and foreign customers after they are launched.

Established in July 1993, the Company has been in operation for about 20 years. It previously was an affiliated company under Water Resources Department of Gansu Province mainly specializing in exports without much attention on the domestic market and later transformed into a joint venture with foreign investment. Now, the Company is the earliest and largest manufacturer of seabuckthorn products, and the only pharmaceutical company engaged in production of seabuckthorn.

• Product description

Seabuckthorn is a medicinal food containing vitamins, trace elements, amino acids and other biologically active substances. With a long history of more than two hundred million years on earth, this plant can survive in the harsh environment of the desert and alpine mountains. It is the only plant growing in the area of feldspathic sandstone called the cancer of the Earth, a plant growing in pollute-free environment and called the VC King in the world of plants. It is the most ecologically valuable in the large-scale development of the western region in China. It is recorded in Chinese Pharmacopoeia and pharmacopoeias in other parts of the world, and recognized as a medicinal and edible plant by the China’s Ministry of Health.

Seabuckthorn contains more than 100 nutrients needed by the human body, including vitamins, amino acids, fatty acids, SOD, flavonoids, and trace elements and are highest in content regarding Vitamin A, C, E, and carotene in plants with unsaturated fatty acids accounted for more than 70% and SOD four times that of ginseng, meeting well the needs of the human body.
