Introduction for hydrocyclone:

Hydrocyclone is an equipment to separate mud and sand in waste water and dewater the slurry.

In mining, hydrocyclone is mainly used as separator, concentrator and deslimer. As separator, it compose grading system with the ball mill; as deslimer, it deslime in gravity separation factories; as concentrator, it concentrate tailings for filling the mining tunnel.

 

 

Working principle of hydrocyclone :

Ore-mud can enter the drum with the help of a certain pressure (usually 0.5 to 2.5 kg / cm) and velocity (about 5 to 12 m / sec) that caused by slurry pump, and the ore-mud will rotate with the surface of drum, and cause quite strong centrifugal force, rough or big ore-sand will move downwards with the centrifugal force and gravity. Then they will be discharged from the underside of the cone, whereas some thin sand will be discharged from the overfalling pipe.

 

Application hydrocyclone :

The hydrocyclone is pulp grading equipment which uses centrifugal force. Hydrocyclones is mainly used for grading, separation, enrichment, and desliming in mineral processing industry. Hydrocyclones used for grading equipment is mainly used with the ball mill form a grinding - grading system.
