HZ-Al12 is an aluminum-silicon brazing filler metal incorporating a non-corrosive brazing flux into a central channel running through the product. This unique product is designed to help companies fabricating aluminum components and looking for a cost competitive option to flux cored aluminum-silicon brazing filler metals.

Product uses: HZ-Al12 may be used for manufacturing heating, refrigeration and air-conditioning components from aluminum alloys. Aluminum alloys from the 3000 and 6000 ranges may be joined successfully with this product.

HZ-Al12 is particularly well suited for manufacturing mobile / automotive air conditioning components.

 

 

Conditions for use: Indirect heating methods should be used in conjunction with HZ-Al12 wire. Excessive direct heat should be avoided. Controlled heat patterns such as those generated with flame brazing using fixed burners,induction heating or furnaces prove most successful.

Flux residues from HZ-Al12 are non-corrosive and insoluble in water. They may be left on the components after brazing.
