The Versa Technology's VX-LPRJ45P is designed to protect signal transmission on a CAT5 line if struck or exposed to lightening while safeguarding equipment from damage by surge induced over voltage.

b.         The VX-LPRJ45P is connected in series at the front-end of the CAT5 protected equipment. The input of the lighting protector is connected with the CAT5 line and the output should be connected with the input of the protected equipment.

c.         The yellow wire is designated to be grounded.

d.         The VX-LPRJ45P does not require special maintenance to operate. Please inspect and remove the unit if it has failed. A replacement will be needed if the protected device is operating after removal and bypassing of the VX-LPRJ45P.
