ZXCTN 6500 series products (ZXCTN 6500-8/6500-16/6500-32) are the new generation PTN equipments of ZTE, which focus on the multi-service bearer scenarios including 2G/3G/LTE, enterprise, backbone .etc.

ZTE 6500 series are 300mm depth T level ultra-large capacity PTN products with rich slot resources and unique high & low speed slots loose coupling design. ZXCTN 6500 support 40GE high speed interfaces, powerful TDM service processing ability, TPS protection and full range of protections mechanism, which can highly satisfy the requirements of the access/aggregation and backbone packet transport network constructions.  ZXCTN 6500 can significantly save the cost of network construction & maintenance to benefit the long term development & evolution of operators’ network & service.

Product Features

300mm depth T level large capacity

ZXCTN adopt 300mm depth rack design and support front operation & maintenance so the installation back to wall is available, which can minimize installation space, save deployment cost, and significantly improve the space utilization rate of the aggregation & core equipment room.

The access capacity of ZXCTN 6500-32 is 1.28T and the backplane capacity can achieve 14.4T, which can fulfill the huge bandwidth requirement of the long term development of LTE & multiple services.

ZXCTN 6500 support 40GE high speed interface and can be smoothly upgraded to support k100GE high speed interface.  

Advanced Structure Design to Improve Slot Utilization Rate

ZXCTN 6500 adopt innovative high & low speed slots loose coupling design to provide rich high & low speed service slots. Compared with the traditional rack structure, this design can avoid the strict corresponding limitation between high speed slots and low speed slots. As a result, the access of low speed services do not impact the access and line speed forwarding capacity of high speed services. The slot utilization will be significantly increased.

High Efficient L2/L3 VPN Internal Bridging for Multiservice Bearer

ZXCTN 6500 support L2VN and L3VPN.  Compared with external bridging, ZXCTN 6500 can avoid the waste of ports and boards resource with advanced L2/L3 VPN internal bridging technology so ZXCTN 6500 is an optimal solution for LTE service bearer.

Transitional Solution: Internal interface loopback wastes port resources with reliability risks 

Optimized Solution: Internal virtual interface loopback can support line speed forwarding and save port resources without any extra reliability risk

ZXCTN 6500 adopt powerful self-developed chips and advanced intelligent power management control function to efficiently minimize space and power consumption. Compared with other T level equipments, ZXCTN 6500 have the lowest power consumption.

With platform design, the access capacity of ZXCTN 6500 series can cover from 160G to 1.28T. ZXCTN 6500 series product share the same hardware and software to save the cost of spare parts.

ZXCTN 6500 supports convenient deployment, easy operation & maintenance and NMS with graphic UI, which can efficiently reduce the human resources and the cost of network maintenance.

Product Structure

ZXCTN 6500 employ full size and half size slot design to provide rich service slots. Such design can satisfy the requirement of 2G/3G/LTE & Enterprise service transport for the long term development demand of telecom operator.

With the large capacity rack structure, the hardware systems of ZXCTN 6500 include rack, backplane, fan unit, power unit, main control clock board, system interface board, switching board and other service boards.
