No salt needed
EDI does not consume salts in operation and need much lower operating expenses. So EDI does not need recycle the concentrate ,which makes the system much simpler. EDI without salt, reduce the operating cost.
Counter flow
Concentrate and electrolyte stream flowing into EDI in opposite directions can avoid fouling largely. Then it broadens the feed water limit adequately.
Low energy consumption
The unique chambers design make the EDI consume lower energy. EDI fully filled with resin make the EDI module resistivity significantly reduced, which makes the energy consumption save largely.
