ambulances based on Volkswagen Crafter (wheelbase 3.665 mm) can be equipped with emergency lights via a conventional warning bar or rotating beacons. You can also choose our integrated emergency lights system on LED basis (as you can see on the picture). This solution provides an optimized Cw-value because of the smooth aerodynamics of the vehicle surface. The fuel consumption of the vehicle decreases significantly. Due to the less noisy wind sound a higher travel comfort is given.

This ambulance meets DIN EN 1789, type C.

 

 

Tail and side view:

We installed a GRP console in the upper area of the vehicle's rear and integrated LED modules in both blue and yellow to secure the vehicle to the rear. Also included are additional red brake lights. If needed, two working spotlights illuminate the area behind the ambulance. A rear view camera for background overview is mounted in the center of the console.
 
The aluminium made footstep at the rear of the vehicle eases the entrance to the patient's compartment, but serves at the same time as a bumper and shock absorber for minor collisions.

Working spotlights at the upper sidewalls ensure sourround illumination.

The paint scheme follows customer request.

 

Partition wall:

We installed a cabinet combination at the partition wall, consisting of a wide drawer cabinet, an ampoule cabinet and to the right a storage area for emergency cases or rescue backpacks - easy accessible at an emergenca scene when opening the side door of the vehicle. 

The entire work surface is made of stainless steel and has a roll border in order to prevent material from falling down.

In the upper area, right of the air condition outlet nozzles, a spacious stowage compartment stores larger medical supplies.

 

Patient's compartment:

Sidewalls, wheel arches and ceiling of the patient's room consist of only three GRP form parts. Over the side domes these parts have been stuck together to one piece, what optimizes cleaning and disinfecting. The GRP-parts guarantee for highest hygiene claims. Curves diminish the injury danger for patient and attendant. Besides, GRP material - in contrast to the ABS plastic used in earlier times of ambulance manufacturing - appears non-yellowing, still after years. The high strength of GRP prevents a splintering of the panels if a crash occurs - an important safety aspect.

On the picture you see the stretcher examination table in extended position. Easy loading and unloading of the stretcher eases the work of the paramedics.

 

 

View from the sliding door entrance on the right side:

A spacious storage area is accessible when opening the sliding door. Emergency cases or an emergency backpack as well as a respirator can be taken out very quickly. The respirator is also available from the patient's room via a flap.

 

 

Left sliding door:

Behind the left sliding door additional equipment can be stored. Is is an ideal storage compartment for oxygen cylinders and technical rescue devices like a vacuum mattress, a spine board, a KED system, the fire extinguisher, a portable suction pump or other space-consuming equipment.
