Moment of inertia is a measure of inertia of rotating rigid body, and its value depends on the object shape, mass distribution, and position of the shaft. For the mass distribution, shape is not complex objects from its mass distribution of dimensions is calculated using the equation determined with respect to a moment of inertia of the shaft. For the simple geometry, a rigid mass distribution can be directly used to calculate its formula determined with respect to a moment of inertia of the shaft.
This device provides for a rigid metal, moment of inertia: M = Jβ, (where M is the twisting moment, J is the moment of inertia, β is the angular acceleration).
