Suggested Usage: The taste is alluring with a fresh orchid aroma, a bold fruity flavor and a sweet, lingering finish. While Tie Guan Yin can be simply brewed in any teapot, we recommend using 10 grams of leaves, multiple infusions and brief steeping times to bring out its full characteristics. Product Description: Hand rolled and moderately baked by charcoal. The tea has been charcoal-fired in small batches to produce the deep green color and rich flavor that have made this tea special. The aroma of the dry leaf is deliciously sweet while the mellow honey infusion is soft, smooth and fruity. It tastes a bit sweeter and smoother than regular fresh Tie Guan Yin, and the taste stay long afterwards. It is definitely for someone who prefers more roasted charcoal oolong tea. The so-called Tie Guan Yin Tea got its name from a kind of tea tree named Tie Guan Yin (Iron Goddess of Mercy) which is an ideal material for making oolong tea. Grown in the An-xi region of China’s Fujian province, Tie Guan Yin is the world’s most renowned oolong tea. 40% oxidation results in a tightly wound, uniform tea that is very dense, sagegreen in color and with what appears to be a light glazing of frost. The art of making Tie Guan Yin is quite complicated, particularly as the tea nears completion. It is refried one final time at a very low temperature; at this point the most distinguishing feature of the tea (the light glazing of frost) appears. Tea Storage: Keep the tea in a cool and dry place, avoid direct from sunlight. The longer it is stored the better the flavour and the more valuable it becomes! Taste:Taste from the first brew and this tea will bring every steep is difference, and after every steeping smell the tea and the cover of Gai Wan you can smell the tea aroma and after taste. |
