PER-01 Perpendicularity Tester

Application

The Perpendicularity Tester, also known as the Bottle Deviation Tester, Coaxial Tester, Coaxiality Tester, or Circle Runout Tester (for vials, etc.), is primarily used for measuring the perpendicularity or verticality of different bottle containers in industries such as food, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals. This precision instrument is widely utilized by bottle manufacturers, end-users, and research facilities to assess and ensure the vertical alignment of bottles, ensuring that they stand straight and upright.


Working Mechanism

The operation of the Perpendicularity Tester involves securing the bottle onto a rotating plate with its mouth in contact with a dial gauge. After rotating the bottle a full 360 degrees, two readings are recorded: the maximum and minimum values obtained during the rotation. The vertical axis deviation value is then calculated as half of the difference between these two recorded values. In summary, the steps to determine the vertical axis deviation value using the Perpendicularity Tester are as follows:

1. Fix the bottle securely onto the rotating plate.

2. Position the dial gauge so that it makes contact with the mouth of the bottle.

3. Rotate the bottle a full 360 degrees.

4. Record the maximum and minimum readings obtained on the dial gauge during the rotation.

5. Calculate the vertical axis deviation value by taking half of the difference between the maximum and minimum readings.
