The Carrier Air Conditioning CCN Communication Gateway is used to translate Carrier's proprietary CCN communication protocol into a universal Modbus protocol or BACnet protocol, compatible with various Carrier devices such as 19XL/19XR, 23XL/23XR/30HXC/30XW, 30RA/RB/RQ/XA/XQ, 16D/16J, etc. This gateway can support 1-16 Carrier devices simultaneously on the CCN side, and connect them in series through RS485 bus with different CCN addresses configured for each device. Can map all state tables and maintain table parameters (customizable, unlimited points). Support writing operations. Custom refresh time, high real-time performance, especially suitable for variable flow rate, condensation back pressure control and other occasions. This gateway adopts a web configuration interface, which only requires one computer and one Ethernet cable, and can be configured using a browser.
Debugging process: Gateway debugging should be carried out after the completion of the chiller unit debugging. 1. CCN setting. Communication parameters: 9600 baud rate, disable alarm broadcast, disable master-slave function, all of which are Carrier factory default settings and do not require modification. The CCN address (i.e. the combination of element address and bus number) set for each device, note that element address 239, bus 0 is occupied by the gateway, do not set it to this address. Please refer to the equipment manual for the steps to set the CCN address. If the operating password is changed by the debugging personnel, please request it from Carrier. This is the legitimate right of the owner. 2. Gateway status indicator: The power light remains on after being powered on, which can be used to determine if the power supply is working properly. The status light lights up when powered on and closes when the program starts running. If there are already devices mapped within the gateway, the status light will flash every two seconds. 3. RS485 status indicator: When sending any data, the sending indicator light flashes. The receive indicator light only flashes when a valid data packet is received. Note: A valid packet to the CCN interface indicates the receipt of a valid response; The Modbus RTU/ASC interface refers to receiving valid packets sent to the local machine or broadcast; BACnet MSTP refers to the receipt of valid network packets (excluding token packets) sent locally or broadcasted. If the gateway does not map the device, it will automatically initialize and configure the device with element address 1 and bus number 0 every 30 seconds after power on. If initialization is successful, the status light will start flashing. 5. Gateway reset. If you forget the IP address, web username, and password of the gateway and cannot log in, you can press and hold the Reset button for more than 3 seconds and then release it. The gateway will automatically restart, and the IP address will be restored to 192.168.100.1, with DHCP enabled.
6. Connect the computer to the gateway through a network connection, which can be done through Ethernet cables or through switches/routers (note that if DHCP is enabled at this time, it may conflict with other devices in the network). seven
