Product Description

Sodium polyacrylate, chemical formula (C3H3NaO2)n, is a new type of functional polymer materials and important chemical products solid products for white or light yellow block or powder, liquid products for colorless or light yellow viscous liquid.

It is prepared by polymerization of acrylic acid and its esters by aqueous solution. Tasteless, soluble in sodium hydroxide

aqueous solution, precipitation in calcium hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide and other aqueous solutions, sodium polyacrylate also

has a strong water absorption, conventional sodium polyacrylate water absorption rate (pure water) is hundreds of times its own,

the improved product can reach thousands of times. It is often used as water treatment agent, brine refining and latex thickening,

and can also be used as food viscosification and emulsification.

Sodium polyacrylate is extremely wet and is a polymer compound with both hydrophilic and hydrophobic groups. It dissolves slowly

in water to form a very viscous transparent liquid. The viscosity of 0.5% solution is about 1Pa·s, which is roughly equal to CMC

and 15 to 20 times that of sodium alginate.

Product Application

Sodium polyacrylate, also known as waterlock, is a sodium salt of polyacrylic acid and has broad applications in consumer products. This super-absorbent polymer (SAP) has the ability to absorb 100 to 1000 times its mass in water. It is widely used in industrial and sanitary fields. For example: cable water blocking powder, ice pack, flood control bag, artificial snow, oil drilling fluid, sanitary napkins, diapers, etc.

With its awesome properties of liquid-absorption and locking it has finds very useful application in products prone to moisture like: diapers, sanitary napkins, nursing pads and pet pads.

Packing & Delivery

1. The solid product can be packed in inner plastic bags, and further in polypropylene woven bags with each bag containing 25Kg.

2. This product is hygroscopic, so it is should be sealed and stored in a dry and cool place below 35°C.

3. The solid product should be prevented from scattering on the ground because the hygroscopic powder can cause slipperiness.
