The composition and structural principle of the triangular track wheel were compared with the performance of wheeled vehicles and integral tracked vehicles. It was found that the triangular rubber track wheel has the characteristics of low noise, low ground pressure ratio, strong adaptability, and good passing performance, which expands the application field of wheeled vehicles and enhances the operational performance of wheeled vehicles. Analyzed the current development status and technological applications of triangular track wheels at home and abroad. Triangle track wheels are prone to short track life, large vibrations during operation, and even problems such as wheel detachment and deviation in the design process. This article elaborates on the issues and solutions that should be paid attention to in the design process of triangle track wheels from several aspects, including track design, tensioning device design, base frame design, and support wheel system design, providing reference for the application design of track wheels.
