Dihydromyrcenol
2, 6-dimethyl-7-octene-2-alcohol is a colorless transparent liquid. Insoluble in water, soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol. It has fresh floral aromas and white lemon-like fruit aromas. Boiling point 84 °C10 mm Hg(lit.), density 0.784 g/mL at 25 °C(lit.), vapor pressure 20Pa at 25 °C, refractive index n20/D 1.443(lit.), flash point 170 °F, pKa 15.31±0.29(Predicted).
2, 6-dimethyl-7-octene-2-alcohol is a colorless slightly thick liquid, colorless liquid, insoluble in water, soluble in 4-6 volumes of 55% ethanol or 1-2 volumes of 70% ethanol, but also soluble in oil flavors. Its aroma is sweet and powerful, with fresh spicy citrus, pine, incense, fruit, floral, sweet with sour aroma, and has white lemon, cologne.
