Ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid (EDTA) contains four carboxyl groups and can generally form two salts, three salts and four salts. Common EDTA salts are disodium EDTA-2NA, tetrasodium EDTA-4NA, dipotassium EDTA-2K, and tripotassium EDTA-3K. Tetraodium EDTA-4Na (EDTA-4NA) is a small organic molecule containing amino and carboxyl groups, which is widely used in analytical chemistry as a complex agent.
