Introduction:
Aluminum Hydroxide is a versatile white powder renowned for its applications as a flame retardant and filler. When incorporated into resin Solid Surfaces, it exhibits a plethora of desirable characteristics. These include a white crystalline powder form, non-toxicity, tastelessness, excellent mobility, low oil absorption, minimal iron content, well-defined particle morphology, consistent particle size distribution, low impurity levels, exceptional stability, high whiteness, uniform particle size, and excellent dispersibility.
In composite materials, Aluminum Hydroxide presents itself as a micro powder, offering high whiteness without causing secondary pollution. It serves as a potent agent for smoke elimination, filling, and imparting antistatic properties. Notably, Aluminum Hydroxide boasts an initial decomposition temperature of approximately 205 ℃. When heated, it liberates significant amounts of water vapor, which serves multiple critical functions in flame retardation. This water vapor acts as a heat sink, absorbing and dissipating thermal energy while simultaneously diluting the concentration of combustible gases within the polymer matrix. Furthermore, it forms a non-combustible barrier between the ignition source and the surrounding material, effectively halting the spread of flames.
