C70600 nickel white copper has excellent overall mechanical properties, excellent corrosion resistance, good cold and hot processing formability, and easy cutting, and can be made into wire, rod, and plate for the manufacture of precision parts in the fields of instruments, medical devices, daily necessities, and communications.
The alloy has about 1.4% iron and a trace amount of manganese added to it, which gives it good mechanical strength. Copper-nickel has excellent resistance to seawater, salt water, organic compounds, salts, dilute non-oxidizing acids, etc. Copper-nickel flanges have excellent resistance to stress corrosion, erosion, and biological contamination in seawater and brackish water, excellent fabrication and welding properties, high resistance to hydrogen, and mechanical properties that are maintained at low temperatures.
Some common applications for copper-nickel pipe flanges include condenser tubes, seawater hardware, automotive cooling systems, faucets, steel flanges, pump components, steel fittings, and various marine hardware components.
