High Frequency Penetrability 80GHz Radar Level Meter High Sanitary and Accuracy Operating Principle
80GHz Radar Level Meter, NYRD900 frequency modulated continuous wave(FMCW) radar instrument (aka millimeter wave radar ) , by adopting millimeter wave range which is of higher frequency than Ku(12-18GHz) wave range, it can be applied in many important occasions of long distance target dectection/imaging, strong smock/dust environment and multispectral imaging. Further more, it can detect the small target that microwave radar can’t, and actualize to fix a position more accurately with higher resolution and stronger confidentiality.

Good transient performance: Based on the self-developed CMOS millimeter wave RF chip, fullfill compact RF architecture and a higher signal-to-noise ratio.
5GHz working bandwidth enables the product to have higher measurement resolution and accuracy.
Coherence: dipole oscillation driven by coherent current or nonlinear frequency difference effect of coherent laser pulse.
Low energy: Millimeter wave photon energy is only a few millielectron volts, and there will be no X-ray ionization and damage to the substance being tested.
Strong penetrability: It has strong penetrability for non-polar substances, and many non-metallic and non-polar materials absorb less radiation in this wave band.Therefore,this can be used to detect the internal structure of the material. For example, ceramic, cardboard, plastic product and foam are transparent to the electromagnetic radiation in this wave band. It can also be used for airport and station safety monitoring, such as detecting machinery, explosives and drugs, or for circuit board welding detection.
Easily absorbed by polar molecules: this wave band scatters less in heterogeneous materials, and can detect and measure water and vapor content. It is also possible to study the composition of substances or conduct quality control by analyzing their characteristic spectra.
Large range, small blind area. The maximum range can reach 120m, and the blind zone can be only 8cm.
Small beam angle, small antenna size, easy to install. It is less affected by the connecting pipe size and obstacle interference.
Shorter wavelengt, and the solid surface gains better reflection characteristics, so no need to use universal joint flange for aiming.
Support remote debugging and upgrading to facilitate on-site maintenance.
As 80GHz band radar used in industrial measurement field, high-precision, non-contact type and liquid level measurement has incomparable advantages over other ordinary microwave pulse radars and guided wave radars. The extremely narrow beam and penetration capability can adapt to ultra complex working conditions better without weakening the measurement performance.
