1756 Removable Terminal Blocks Removable terminal blocks (RTBs) provide a flexible interconnection between your plant wiring and 1756 I/O modules. The RTB plugs into the front of the I/O module. The type of module determines the RTB you need. You can choose screw-clamp or spring-clamp RTBs. RTBs are not shipped with I/O modules. You must order them separately. The standard housing on the front of the wiring arm is not necessarily deep enough for 2.5 mm2 (14 AWG) wiring. If you plan to use 2.5 mm2 (14 AWG) wiring, also order the extended housing. The 1756-OB32 by Allen-Bradley is a ControlLogix Output Module that comes with 32 available outputs. The 1756-OB32 also features 16 points per group and it is also an IFM fused module. Being an IFM fused unit, the 1756-OB32 can be used for protecting the outputs by using a recommended fuse that is rated for the module. The recommended fuse for the 1756-OB32 is 5X20 millimeters 800 mA and it is supplied by the LittelFuse part number SP001.1003, or it can alternatively pair well with the Schurter Part Number 216.800 fuse. The 1756-OB32 comes with removable block housing. The removable block housing is commonly referred to as the RTB and it is required for this unit. The only compatible RTBs for the 1756-OB32 include the 1756-TBCH cage clamp, and the 1756-OB32 also uses the 1756-TBS6H spring clamp.1756-OB32
The 1756-OB32 supports various communication formats that are useful for scheduled output data, rack optimization, listen-only rack optimization, and listen-only output data. The users can also configure the 1756-OB32 in the fault mode per point and in the states in program mode. For the 1756-OB32, there are various options that includes hold the last state, and also the on or off states. By default, the 1756-OB32 comes in the off state. The 1756-OB32 runs on a DC output with 32 outputs. Being a DC output module, the 1756-OB32 operating voltage ranges from 10 to 31.2 Volts DC. It comes with a maximum output current rating point of 0.5 Amps at 50 degrees Celsius and it also has 0.35 Amps at 60 degrees Celsius. The maximum output current rating module for the 1756-OB32 is 16 Amps at 50 degrees Celsius and 10 Amps at 60 degrees Celsius. It runs on a maximum power dissipation of 4.8 Watts at 60 degrees Celsius while the isolation voltage for the 1756-OB32 is 50 Volts continuous voltage. The backplane current for the 1756-OB32 at 5 Amps is 300 mA and it also comes with a backplane current of 2 mA at 24 Volts.1756-OB32
