Introduction

The Cobb tester is used to measure the water absorption performance of paper and paperboard surface, also known as paper surface absorption gravimetric tester. This instrument adopts the Cobb test method, so it is also called the Cobb absorbency tester.

This instrument is designed according to the basic parameters and requirements specified in ISO535 paper and paperboard---Water absorption measurement (Cobb method), GB/T1540-2002 paper and paperboard water absorption measurement method (Cobb method).

Technical specifications

1. Inner cross-sectional area of the metal cylinder: 100±0.2㎝²; Inner diameter: 112.8±0.2mm), cylinder height: 50mm, the contact part of the cylinder ring surface and the sample should be smooth.

2. Absorbent paper basis weight: 200～250g/㎡, absorption speed: 75mm/10min.

When the single-layer weight of absorbent paper is less than 200～250 g/㎡, multiple layers can be used to meet the requirements
