The history of gabion box has been more than one hundred years, which is special design for riverbed protect, the traditional gabion is produced by galvanized steel wire or PVC coating steel wire, while the corrosion resistance always be a big issue during use, and cost of repair rust/damaged gabion is very high, To save such problem, QYM make a innovation on material of gabion, we use PET(Polyethylene terephthalate) material for all gabion and mattress product, so it never be rust in river, and it is even stronger than steel wire.

Advantage of PET gabion box

1. Environmental protection materials:

PET gabion box is produced by PET material, which is no poison material have no effect to use environment.

2. Higher Tensile Strength:

The tensile strength of PET wire(500N/m2) is higher than normal steel wire (350-500N/m2).

3. Aging Resistance:

The PET gabion still have 95% product property after 200 hours continuous irradiation with radiation intensity of 550w/m2, which have stronger aging resistance than steel wire. The PET material will not rust or damaged in seawater or buried in deep earth. And it can be use for a least 50 years in common environment. Which is obviously better than steel wire.

4. Freeze Resistance:

PET Gabion have very good freeze resistance. More than 95% product property is kept after 7days at minus forty degree.

5. Acid and alkali resistance:

PET gabion could effectively resist acid and alkali, especially suitable for coastal areas, snow areas, volcanic areas, saline-alkali acidic areas, high pollution area.

6. Thermal Resistance

PET gabion could keep product property from minus forty degree to seventy degree.

7. Surface Smooth:

The surface of PET wire is smooth forever, which will not rust or keep smooth after many years.

8. Low cost

The weight of PET gabion is only 17% of steel gabion, even the unit price of PET material higher, but the PET gabion is lower price for same size.

9. Easier installation

As the PET gabion is much lighter than steel gabion, so it is much easier for installation and transportation, so the cost could be save.

Normal Gabion box should be filled with big size stone, otherwise the stone will come out the gabion mesh, the cost of stone will be very high and stone will have damage to gabion after many years, So QYM develop PET bag to fill into gabion first, then all the material could be fill in bag, even the earth from river. Which save a lot of cost and protect the riverbed well.

1. Display the PET gabion box
2. Put PET bag in gabion box
3. Fill PET bag with earth/stone(Suggest to fill stone under water level , and earth upper water level)
4. Seal the PET bag and gabion
