MCD is an abbreviation for Manual crystal diamond. It is also a synthetic single crystal diamond or synthetic diamond. It is a material that has been chemically crystallized under high temperature and high pressure. Therefore, this material does not have the adhesive of the commonly used tool material or the gap between the particles inside the material. This determines that the single crystal is irreplaceable.
Crystal growth is a relatively long process, and, during the process of crystal growth, environmental conditions
It is necessary to monitor the whole process, so at present, this is still a relatively expensive raw material. And it is not easy to grow into a large size. The more common sizes on the market today are in the size range of 13mm X 13mm.
Single crystals are commonly used in cutting tools, wire drawing dies, and grinding wheel finishing industries.
MCD materials are generally common in two colors, one that is nearly transparent and the other that is light yellow. The production process of these two materials is the same, except that the nitrogen elements remaining in the material are different. Transparent particles with very low levels of nitrogen. In practical applications, if the tool is made, a higher finish can be achieved, and at the same time, the tool life is better.
Therefore, the price of transparent materials is also relatively high. The production capacity of raw materials is also not as large as yellowish materials.
MCD made of tools, mainly used for processing non-ferrous metals, such as aluminum, copper, gold and other metals. This material achieves a high degree of finish because of its high hardness. At present, because of the new equipment and processing technology, the current MCD tool is not only a simple chamfering tool, but also can make the contour tool of the opposite sex.
The hardness of MCD is only second to the hardness of natural diamonds. Therefore, there is no way to process the traditional tool processing method. There are two mainstream MCD processing methods on the market (laser cutting and cast iron grinding discs) or a combination of the two.
For the tool processed by the above method, the cutting edge quality is very high, and the cutting edge is observed under the microscope 1000 times.
No defects can be seen, so the workpiece processed by this tool can have no grain and achieve the mirror effect.
Advantages Of Mono Crystal Diamond Tools
* High hardness and wear resistance
* It will be not easily sticking the cutter
* High efficiency and low cost
* To obtain a higher surface finish
