Proximity switch, also known as non-contact proximity switch, is an ideal electronic switch sensor. When the tested metal approaches switch induction area, the switch can quickly send electrical instruction, accurately reflect the position of the motion mechanism and stroke without contact/pressure/spark, even for general schedule control, the accurate accuracy, operating frequency, service life, easy installation and wide application, is better than general mechanical travel switch.
Application: machine tool, metallurgy, chemical industry, electricity, power station, printing, aviation, automatic control system and automatic protection system, etc.
Working Principle:
The proximity switch consists of three parts: oscillator, switching circuit and amplifier output circuit. The oscillator produces an alternating magnetic field. When the tested metal approaches this magnetic field and reaches the induction distance, vortex current is produced in the metal, which leads to the attenuation of the vibration and even the stopping of the vibration. The change of oscillator oscillation and stop is processed by the later stage amplifier circuit and converted into switching signal, which triggers the driving control device, so as to achieve the purpose of non-contact detection. The closer the metal is to the sensor, and the greater the damping is, the smaller the current of the sensor oscillator is. The current loss of inductance proximity switch decreases with the decrease of distance from metal target.
