The DP100 disc grinder is rugged and durable, suitable for pre-comminuted and finely pulverized solid and brittle solid materials. This instrument can grind samples to less than about 100 microns in one step (depending on the material)
working principle
The DP100 disc grinder grinds the sample by the pressure and friction generated between a rotating disc and another fixed disc. The sample enters the grinding chamber and is pre-pulverized in the middle of the disc. It is transferred to the outer edge of the disc by centrifugal force and further finely pulverized. The ground sample falls through the gap of the grinding disc into the sample receiving container.
